@trixy9 He is the ultimate Mr. Darcy! And one of my favorite actors!

this is absolutely and positively better than the movie. Whenever I see Colin, in any other role....even the foolish Valmont, I can't help but be brought back to this. He is such a great actor.

Jane looks like a thick-necked downey....sooo conflicting...hot Darcy...downey Jane...makes it almost bitter sweet to watch

@Shular67 I do not think, in this version lizzie is greater and is very fake and very makeup ... sorry

@darcifymylove I think one reason I prefer this version is for exactly this. These are REAL people, not Hollywood's artificial beauty. If they have their physical imperfections it only makes them more believable, and more relatable. I agree with LiteraryWriter, Miss Bennet's beauty comes as much from how she carries herself and reacts with that little knowing smile as it does from the prettiness of her face. That said, I honestly can't see how you can call them "disgusting".

@WillBerngrthe2nd I think Charlotte Lucas prostituted herself in marriage to Mr. Collins.

I thought this version was perfect with a great cast, and I did prefer it to the film. I must be the only one who finds Keira Knightly plain, with no screen presence at all.

I know that this is supposed to be the best film version of the book, but I just don't like the cast. Maybe its just me, but none of them are how I pictured when I was readin the book. |
